Detailed Description

Vector objects are used to store 1-dimensional data.

Remarks:

Using vectors is very similar to using 1-dimensional arrays, except that the size can vary at runtime. Memory allocation is handled internally.

  • To create a vector, use its constructor.
  • To fill a vector with values, first empty it, using the eVision.EVector.Empty member, and then add elements one at time at the tail by calling the eVision.EBW8Vector.AddElement member.
  • To access a vector element, either for reading or writing, use the [] operator.
  • To inquire for the current number of elements, use member eVision.EVector.NumElements.

◆ __init__() [2/3]

None eVision.EBW8Vector.__init__ ( self,
int maxNumberOfElements )

Constructs a vector.

Parameters
maxNumberOfElementsOptionally, memory can be pre-allocated to accommodate a given number of elements.

◆ __init__() [3/3]

Member Function Documentation

◆ AddElement()

None eVision.EBW8Vector.AddElement ( self,
eVision.EBW8 element )

Appends (adds at the tail) an element to the vector.

Parameters
elementThe element to be added.

◆ Draw() [1/3]

None eVision.EBW8Vector.Draw ( self,
eVision.EDrawAdapter | None graphicContext,
float width,
float height )

Draws a plot of the vector element values.

Remarks:

A vector is able to draw itself in a window. The vector plots the element values as a function of the element indices. The drawing appears on a neutral background.

Parameters
graphicContextHandle of the device context on which to draw.
widthOutermost horizontal size, in pixels.
heightOutermost vertical size, in pixels.

◆ Draw() [2/3]

None eVision.EBW8Vector.Draw ( self,
eVision.EDrawAdapter | None graphicContext,
float width,
float height,
float originX )

Draws a plot of the vector element values.

Remarks:

A vector is able to draw itself in a window. The vector plots the element values as a function of the element indices. The drawing appears on a neutral background.

Parameters
graphicContextHandle of the device context on which to draw.
widthOutermost horizontal size, in pixels.
heightOutermost vertical size, in pixels.
originXAbscissa of the upper left corner of the plot's bounding rectangle, in pixels. By default, the upper left corner of the window is used.

◆ Draw() [3/3]

None eVision.EBW8Vector.Draw ( self,
eVision.EDrawAdapter | None graphicContext,
float width,
float height,

float originY )

Draws a plot of the vector element values.

Remarks:

A vector is able to draw itself in a window. The vector plots the element values as a function of the element indices. The drawing appears on a neutral background.
